ONPOKI CANDY PIGGY – Chinese New Year Version! – CROCHET PATTERN
Now you can make your own talisman of fortune for this year of the pig in the form of a cute piglet :).
For a long time I had this pattern unfinished … I was not convinced about the snout (the previous version was smaller) and it made me a little sad to have the poor little pig waiting there without a pattern… So I took advantage that this year was the Year of the pig in the Chinese calendar and I set out on the mission to finish this pattern in a way I would love it and also making it as a Chinese version! And I did it!!! a little late (ahem) but I finally finish it!
Don’t get discouraged about the embroidery details, this was my first time embroidering and it was fun! I left some recommendations about how to make it and don’t die trying (for the non-experienced in this art, like me). And, of course, you can always choose not to do them and have a normal lovely piggy.
I hope you like it and that whenever you see it on the desk in your home or office it makes you smile, as it makes me smile every time I see it.

Size of finished Candy Piggy: 7 cm (2.75 inches) tall and 9 cm (3.54 inches) long using Aran weight yarn with a 3.00 mm crochet hook (US E/4 – UK-Can 11)

YOU WILL NEED
– Less than 50 grams of Aran yarn
– Yarn needle
– 3.00 crochet hook
– 12 mm safety eyes
– A little of polyester fiber (wadding, pillow filling)

– Golden embroidery thread (or any shade of yellow)
